Members Muse At The Woolfox

It was a delight to host a workshop and talk in the summer of 2023 at The Woolfox. It was a magical evening where I shared a presentation on my practice and hosted a drawing workshop where we soaked up the scenery of the grounds.

During the lecture, I discussed the importance of creativity and how it can be introduced into anyones life with the simplicity of a pencil and a bit of paper. Creativity can have such an important impact on your life and has a multitude of benefits such as improving your mental health and connecting you to your emotional and expressive side.

For the Workshop side I ran a series of timed sketches where everyone had to draw anything they saw in a minute, five minutes and then thirty minutes. This allowed the members to loosen up and to help remove the pressure of 'doing well at drawing'. There were some beautiful sketches produced and this allowed the members to see what is possible with only a few materials and the power drawing can have on your perspective and when you notice the smaller things with in your everyday life.
