Lino Printing
Updated: Nov 9, 2020

Over a few days I decided to push myself to be more experimental with the mediums I work with. This is because I felt that I had gotten to experiment as I became used to just simply making digital illustrations. This was something very exciting for me to create as I haven’t used Lino printing since I was at school.
The print was inspired by a photograph of a shell I took the week before. I was really pleased with results and developed the Lino by making more reductions and by making repetitive and one off prints. I found it interesting how which paper you use can affect the quality of your print as in my sketchbook the prints appeared fuzzy and faded where as when using card the ink had made more of an impact. This is a medium I really enjoy using and something I would like to use again in the future.
