In March 2025, I was commissioned to work with Rotherham City Council to host children's workshops across the city as part of the Children's Capital of Culture initiative. The theme for these workshops was 'Plug In and Play', aimed at encouraging children to explore, play, and craft. I hosted these workshops in a variety of places including a mini bus which was great fun.
Workshop Activities
Crown Templates: I designed crown templates that allowed children to draw and decorate crowns celebrating their favourite hobbies, such as:
Gaming
Gardening
Sports
Badge Making Workshops: I hosted badge-making sessions where children could create their own unique badges.
These activities provided a fun and creative outlet for children, allowing them to express their interests and engage with their peers in a collaborative environment. These designs were then worn to a festival and parade - filling the city with pride, creativity and joy.
