Antony Burrill (Artist Research)

Antony Burrill is a graphic designer from London. In 2010 he went to collect oil from the Gulf of Mexico after there was an oil spill. He then used this oil in his screenprint “Oil and water do not mix” to create a smart and powerful outcome expressing his thoughts on this environmental catastrophe. All the profits went to the Coalition To Restore Costal Louisiana. I really like how Burrill went the extra mile to add depth and extra meaning to his screenprint and how he used his practise to raise awareness for a good cause. This is something that is very inspirational to me and a good reminder to use your practise as a voice and a way of doing good.
